DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — Monday morning was all about acknowledging the past and looking forward to the future, as 35 inmates at the Utah Department of Corrections now have college degrees.
Inmate Pailate Lomu completed his Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Salt Lake Community College after having resumed his studies two years ago while facing a 16-year prison sentence.
“That was one of the most scariest things I had to do in life because you, you’re reaching into yourself things that you haven’t done in years,” Pailate told ABC4.com…
