‘Chaotic’ new San Antonio burger joint flips planned Fatburger site

This may come as little surprise to locals who have been following San Antonio’s burger wars, but the planned Fatburger location at 23503 Hardy Oak ain’t happening. Instead, Alamo City firm Brame Brands — the local Fatburger franchise owners — is converting the Stone Oak site to a “chaotic” new concept, Chuzz Burgers.

Brame has been building up the buzz through a series of social media posts starring two (likely AI-generated) mascots — a red-suited man with a burger head and a blue fuzzy monster that looks a bit like a hypebeast Cookie Monster. No explanation is given for which, if any, is the titular Chuzz.

Or maybe “chuzz” is a verb. One of the menu blurbs on the newly created website suggests diners “chuzz” the Da’ Dip burger, made with double smash patties, Cheddar, bacon, green Hatch pepper queso, and a Takis or Doritos Cool Ranch crumble. Other creations include onion-ring-topped The Outlaw, which was “built to dominate.”…
