Very heavy rain fell across parts of South and Central Texas on Friday. At San Antonio International Airport, 2.97 inches of rain was recorded, which set a new daily record for June 5.
The record rainfall resulted from a slow-moving Pacific low-pressure system, which will continue to move through Texas on Saturday and bring moisture into the area. Overall rain chances will trend lower than they were on Friday, as the main weather system will shift farther to the north.
Storms are expected to be isolated on Saturday, so many across South Texas will actually stay dry. A few downpours could still produce locally heavy rain and potential flooding in or near the San Antonio metro area. Here’s what you can expect.
