SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is expending what is described as excessive rainfall in much of South Central Texas beginning Sunday night through Tuesday evening.
With that in mind, a Flood Watch has been issued for the same time frame for San Antonio, most of the Hill Country and the I-35 Corridor.
What to know:
- Scattered showers and storms may produce pockets of locally heavier rain in the afternoon and evening.
- Up to a Level 2 of 5 risk for excessive rainfall capable of causing flash flooding.
- Monday and Tuesday: The combination of tropical moisture and a slow southward moving front will result in the potential for heavy rain and flooding.
- Chances highest Monday afternoon into Early Tuesday.
- Isolated amounts of 5 inches or more of rain possible.
Additional rounds of locally heavy rain are possible through the rest of next week beyond Tuesday, but uncertainty is much higher as a result…
