A Bexar County constable wants to swap SUVs for motorcycles for two of his deputies who enforce traffic laws in his North Side precinct. Some Bexar County commissioners have a different idea: save the money for the next budget.
Precinct 3 Constable Mark Vojvodich asked commissioners last week for permission to use $114,650 in unspent salary funds to purchase two BMW motorcycles. The money was originally budgeted for deputy constable positions that remained vacant.
