SAN ANTONIO — Newly obtained court records reveal the man involved in a June 16 officer-involved shooting with San Antonio police was wanted on a felony warrant after investigators say he built Molotov cocktails, discussed making more explosive devices and threatened to shoot people he believed were suspicious.
35-year-old Roman Xavier Pena was shot by SAPD SWAT officers after police say he pulled a gun and opened fire while officers attempted to arrest him in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 12300 block of Jones Maltsberger Road.
One SWAT officer, later identified as Officer Adel Mokrane, was shot in the leg during the exchange. Police said both Mokrane and Pena survived their injuries…
