Teen arrested after deputies rescue 4-month-old from hot car on Southwest Side

Bexar County sheriff’s deputies rescued a four-month old child by breaking into a hot, locked car parked outside a Southwest Side apartment complex.

Deputies went to the complex in the 12100 block of U.S. 90 West on June 19. The car’s engine was off, the windows were rolled up and the infant was alone inside, Sheriff Javier Salazar said in a video posted to Facebook.

“Unable to determine the child’s condition and knowing every second mattered, deputies used a baton to gain access and safely rescue the infant, who thankfully was not injured,” Salazar said…
