San Antonians say these restaurants are worth the long lines

The San Antonio Restaurants group on Facebook is always full of discussion about the city’s best and worst places to eat. A recent question from a group member sparked a lively conversation: When have you stood in line for food?

Facebook user Lety Montelongo kicked off the chat after a two-hour wait at Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin. She then posed an open-ended question, which drew wildly differing responses. While many expressed disdain for any sort of wait, others shared which San Antonio-area restaurants are worth standing in line for. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the eateries that locals agree are worth the wait.

Burnt Bean Co.

Of course, we have to kick things off with the spot that inspired this conversation. Burnt Bean Co. has soared to one of the top barbecue spots in Texas, landing on numerous “best of” lists and even earning a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide. Burnt Bean’s lines can take hours, but the memories of delicious prime brisket and pork ribs will last a lifetime.
