Bexar County tried to settle two judges’ staffing fight. One is not happy.

Bexar County commissioners voted to hire a shared court coordinator for two judges who had threatened legal action over staffing — but the judges reacted to the move very differently.

Commissioner Justin Rodriguez proposed hiring one court coordinator to split duties between the courts of state District Judges Nadine Nieto and Christine Hortick instead of paying for the separate positions the judges had requested.
