FBI warns of online extremist networks coercing children into self-harm

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio member of a nihilistic violent extremist network has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for racketeering and multiple crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children.

According to the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, Alexis Chavez, 19, was sentenced to 40 years in prison, followed by lifetime supervised release, and ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution…
