A San Antonio brunch restaurant has closed both of its area locations without explanation, but there may be a plan to bring at least one of them back in a year’s time, according a recent online update.
Local brunch favorite Full Belly Cafe + Bar has been relatively inactive on social media since February of this year, and Google currently lists both locations as temporarily closed. MySA attempted to contact the cafes directly by calling, emailing and direct messaging Full Belly on Facebook and Instagram, but the business hasn’t responded to requests for comment. The restaurant’s website is also no longer available.
However, a Yelp profile for the Stone Oak location, which lists Full Belly as temporarily closed, was updated a week ago to say that the restaurant will reopen on July 1, 2027. If true, that means Full Belly would be out of commission in Stone Oak for at least a year before returning. The Yelp profile for the Olmos Park location simply lists the place as closed.
Full Belly Cafe + Bar opened its first location in 2020 at the Sonterra Village shopping center, about a month ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic. The restaurant had a short-lived run before the lockouts hit, leading to an extended closure until later in the year. Having survived those trying times, the brunch restaurant later expanded with its Olmos Park location in March 2024.
