Rainfall totals across South Texas this week were astounding. From the Hill Country to the Edwards Plateau and south to the U.S. 90 corridor, a very large area recorded between 8 and 20 inches of rain over the past five days.
The week’s highest rainfall report came from Uvalde County, where 28.15 inches of rain was measured northeast of Uvalde, along FM 2690. In Kerr County, isolated reports of 20-25 inches were reported in Ingram, about 6 miles west of Kerrville.
Finally, after days of flooding, South and Central Texas is finally starting to dry out. Much of the region recorded a rain-free day on Friday, which represented the start of a significant shift toward more typical summer weather in the region. Here’s what to expect.
