Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM), a provider of custom power distribution and control systems, has set sights on the Lone Star State. The 76-year-old company announced its plans to open a $200-million advanced manufacturing facility in San Antonio.
The 1-million-sq-ft (92,903-sq-m) production plant aims to create up to 3,000 manufacturing, engineering, logistics and corporate support jobs by 2030, company officials, representing the single largest job-producing investment in the San Antonio area in more than two decades.
“IEM is excited to put down roots in San Antonio,” Clayton Such, IEM’s CEO, said in a press release. “This facility will strengthen our ability to deliver highly engineered, customer-specific power distribution solutions that industries, from healthcare to energy, advanced manufacturing, and more, depend on every day.”…
