SAN ANTONIO – A domestic violence incident escalated into a tragic officer-involved shooting on the far Northwest side. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) before 6:30 pm on Saturday, April 20th, officers responded to a call on the 8600 block of Cheviot Heights for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Upon arrival, they found his roommate, a 51-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle in a deliberate attack. Witnesses reported seeing a white BMW SUV strike the woman on the sidewalk before fleeing the scene. The critically injured victim was transported to University Hospital.
