The city of San Antonio has chosen Jonathan Gary as the new leader of its Animal Care Services, set to assume his role on December 30. With an extensive 25-year background in animal welfare exclusively with the City of Oklahoma City, Gary has been entrusted with the responsibility to guide Animal Care Services forward. Eric Walsh, San Antonio City Manager, in a nationwide search that attracted over 100 candidates, found Gary’s experience unparalleled, involving medical, supervisory, and operational roles within a municipal animal welfare context, according to the City of San Antonio.
