Seafood hidden gem in San Antonio to shutter after 10 years of fried fish

The inner Westside is home to several restaurant gems, including The Lighthouse Seafood, a tucked-away spot that’s been serving fried fish, shrimp and more for a solid decade. Soon, The Lighthouse will turn off the lights as the seafood eatery is closing after a 10-year run.

The Lighthouse Seafood announced its closure in a Facebook post that went live on Easter Sunday.

“Happy Easter from our family to yours. We will be open Monday [April 6] and Tuesday [April 7]. Those will be our last days in operation,” the restaurant wrote in the post.

According to a bio on Yelp, The Lighthouse Seafood was founded in 2016, but the people behind the restaurant have been in the seafood biz for more than 35 years. Facebook posts also date the restaurant’s initial opening to 2016. The eatery has grown into a fixture on Fredricksburg Road for its menu, including fried seafood offerings, affordable prices and colorful murals that decorate the interior and exterior of the business…
