No longer. The emergency room at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center on Lackland Air Force Base is history. It was shuttered April 4 and will be replaced by an urgent care center, the Defense Health Agency said.
Officials did not say how many doctors and other skilled health care personnel would be lost in the changeover but it did point out the contrast in the capabilities of the two facilities…
