‘Turn Around, Don’t Drown:’ San Antonio Fire Department responds to nine water rescues

SAN ANTONIO – Amid an ongoing Flash Flood Warning and heavy rains across San Antonio and surrounding communities, local officials are reminding drivers to ‘Turn Around, Don’t Drown.’

According to SAFD, first responders have had to assist with nine calls for ‘high water investigations,’ with crews having to escort dfrivers out of high water.

As of now we have responded to 9 calls for high water investigations or rescues. NONE of these called required technical rescues as of now.
