After vandals stripped it of copper wiring, El Paso import Chilaquiles Buen Dia appears to be permanently closed. The restaurant, located in the former home of Earl Abel’s at 1639 Broadway, has seemingly disconnected its phone number and has removed the San Antonio location from its Instagram bio.
The incident follows an April 8 theft of its wiring. According to KSAT reporting, the general manager walked into a power outage, which he said robbed the restaurant of five days of income. Although the concept originally planned to reopen on April 15, that appears to have never happened.
