SAN ANTONIO — A Texas border crossing inspection led to the seizure of more than $692,000 worth of suspected cocaine earlier this month, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The seizure occurred May 13 at the Progreso International Bridge, where CBP officers referred a 2022 Ford Mustang for a secondary inspection. The vehicle was driven by a 19-year-old U.S. citizen.
During the inspection, officers used nonintrusive inspection technology and CBP canines before conducting a physical search of the vehicle.
