CHULA VISTA, Calif. — An investigation is underway after what police say was a tenant-landlord dispute that left a woman dead and a man in custody in Chula Vista on Sunday.
Chula Vista Police responded to a welfare check in the 600 block of Via Curvada, around 1:51 p.m., when the woman’s sister called officials, reporting that her sister was missing after she went to her mother’s house to address a problem with a tenant who her mother was renting to.
When they arrived at the property, they found the missing woman’s vehicle but did not find the woman.
