SAN DIEGO — A San Diego woman accused of hitting and killing a 6-year-old boy in Pacific Beach appeared in court today for her preliminary hearing, where the child’s parents gave emotional testimony about their son’s final moments.
Tiffany Sanchez, 32, faces three charges including gross vehicular manslaughter, fleeing the scene of a crash that caused death, and driving with an expired license in connection with the death of Hudson O’Laughlin on January 17.
The courtroom was packed as Hudson’s mother, Juliana Kapovich, tearfully described what her son looked like immediately after being struck. “He was struggling to breath, his jaw was clenched,” she told the court. “He was blue, he was convulsing, I was asked to hold his legs down so we could keep him still.”…
