Anyone heading to the Mission Beach boardwalk soon may notice the new temporary lifeguard tower, which opened just in time for the summer beach rush.
On Wednesday, the city of San Diego announced that crews had finished construction on the temporary structure, which allows lifeguards to operate safely while plans are underway to replace the aging station next door.
