SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX5/KUSI) — Rising gas prices are pushing Southern California drivers to search for cheaper fuel, with many turning to Native American reservation gas stations that can offer significantly lower prices than other stations across the state.
At the Pauma Heritage Quik Stop in Pauma Valley, regular unleaded gasoline was selling for $4.99 a gallon, making it the cheapest gas in San Diego County, according to the fuel price tracking website GasBuddy.com.
Drivers like Jamie Stanley, owner of A to Z Asphalt, said the high cost of fuel is taking a major financial toll on both commuters and small business owners.
“If I knew back then when I bought this vehicle the fuel was going to do this to us, I don’t think I would have bought the truck,” Stanley said…
