CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Evacuation warnings have been issued and a smoke advisory is in place for northern San Diego County residents as a brush fire burns on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
The November Fire started at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday on Camp Pendleton and grew to 75 acres, according to Cal Fire. That fire was burning on Base in the November Training Area near Wire Mountain Housing, located northwest of Shadow Tree Drive at Rivertree Road near the border of Camp Pendleton.
Cal Fire originally reported around 1:12 p.m. that the fire had grown to 800 acres, but corrected the fire size to 560 acres about an hour later. It said that the reported change in size was because of more accurate mapping from aerial intelligence aircraft…
