SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Another area of San Diego County has been placed under an agricultural quarantine after the detection of a Mexican fruit fly in the Spring Valley area.
The California Department of Food and Agriculture said in a news release Monday that the mated female fly was detected flying in the area.
A 76-square-mile area bordered by El Cajon, Proctor Valley, Lemon Grove and McGinty Mountain will be quarantined. The new quarantine area overlaps an area of La Mesa that was also placed under a Mexican fruit fly quarantine back in March…
