CHULA VISTA, Calif. — In the ongoing murder trial of Larry Millete, Jayme Laird took the witness stand Monday morning, and testified he and Maya met while working together at the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center back in July of 2019.
He told the jury the two developed a friendship that ended up turning into something more in January of 2020. Both were married at the time. Laird said he loved Maya, cared about her and was concerned for her.
