(FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Police were involved in a shooting on Tuesday afternoon after forcing their way into a central San Diego apartment where a man was reportedly barricaded.
Police said they received a call around 1 p.m. about a person with a knife in the area of 6th Avenue and Cedar Street.

When officers responded, they determined that the man had locked himself inside a 4th-floor apartment that had smoke coming out of it.
