SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 64-year-old woman died after her SUV overturned during a crash in Carmel Valley on Saturday, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened around 10:02 a.m. near El Camino Real and Elijah Court.
Police said the woman was driving a 2010 BMW SUV northbound on El Camino Real when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered left into the southbound lanes while continuing northbound.
The SUV then crossed over the west curb, traveled up an embankment and overturned before coming to rest on its roof, according to investigators.
