A couple who stole people’s personal checks in the mail in Pacific Beach and elsewhere have been sentenced to several years in federal prison and were ordered to pay $74,808 to more than 10 victims.
David Anthony Burge, 34, was sentenced to four years in prison while his wife, Kyrsten Renee Bospflug, 36, was given 37 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Barry Ted Moskowitz on July 20.
Their terms are to run consecutive to state court sentences for a similar scheme, according to court records. They received credits for serving 378 days in jail since their arrests on July 8, 2025…
