SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 26-year-old man is dead after a electric scooter accident in San Diego.
What initially was thought to be just minor injuries turned fatal for a San Diego County man after police say he hit a wall and was ejected from his e-scooter at 9:41 p.m. on Aug. 2.
Oceanside man killed in Fallbrook parking lot accident
San Diego Police reported the unidentified man struck the jersey wall on the east side of the 4900 block of Texas Street in Mission Valley East and was taken to the hospital with what was being investigated as minor injuries.
Officers then received a phone call from the victim’s mother and were notified he had died from his injuries, and confirmed his death in a hospital follow-up.
