VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 64-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning in Vista after he allegedly shot at another man with a BB gun, which led to an hours-long SWAT standoff, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO) confirmed.
At around 5 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the reported assault at North Sante Fe Avenue in Vista. According to the report, the man said the 64-year-old shot at him with a BB gun and missed. The man told authorities that he feared for his safety, so he reportedly took cover behind a nearby wall and did not feel safe to return to his apartment.
The 64-year-old had reportedly been involved in multiple disturbances in recent days, including allegedly destroying his second-floor apartment window, throwing items into the community courtyard, shooting at vehicles with his BB gun and verbally harassing neighbors day and night…
