Marine recruit who died at Camp Pendleton identified

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Military officials have released the name of a Marine recruit who died after suffering a medical emergency at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton earlier this month.

According to the Marine Corps, the recruit was participating in a routine physical fitness evaluation on Saturday, Aug. 1 when he experienced a medical emergency.

The recruit was identified on Wednesday as Pvt. Aiden Craig, an 18-year-old assigned to Alpha Company, First Recruit Training Battalion. He experienced the medical emergency on his 47th day of recruit training, military officials said…
