Bus service to San Diego Airport increases starting Sunday

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Travelers heading to and from San Diego International Airport will soon have more options to get there without driving or paying for parking.

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 6, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will expand service on Route 992, which connects downtown San Diego with both airport terminals.

Under the changes, Route 992 buses will operate every 15 minutes throughout the entire day until the end of service. MTS is also adding evening and late-night trips aimed at better serving passengers arriving on later flights and airport employees working outside traditional commuting hours…
