SAN DIEGO – Authorities identified a Spring Valley woman who was shot and killed this week at her home, allegedly by her estranged husband. Ashley Bird, 35, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head when San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at her home on La Presa Avenue near Jamacha Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
