San Diego family warns of ‘bank jugging’ after cash theft

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A North County family is warning others to be vigilant after thieves followed their father home from a bank and stole thousands of dollars in what investigators describe as “bank jugging.”

The crime happened Feb. 25 after the victim, named Rodolfo, withdrew $3,500 in cash from a Chase Bank branch in Fallbrook to buy his brother’s car, according to his family.
