SAN DIEGO — An emotional sentencing hearing got underway Tuesday morning for a man convicted of murdering and dismembering a woman in 2023, and of raping a second woman he held captive.
The victim who was murdered was 35-year-old Jayme Morton. She was killed in March of 2023 inside the defendant, Rafael Banda’s Palm City home.
