Boston-based investor GID has scooped up Metro Mission Valley, a 305-unit luxury apartment community in San Diego’s Mission Valley neighborhood. The mid-rise complex, at 5080 Camino del Arroyo, was completed in 2018 and has quickly become one of the area’s high-end rental draws.

Location and access

Metro Mission Valley sits a short walk from Westfield Mission Valley and within easy reach of Fashion Valley Mall, putting residents next to roughly 2.8 million square feet of retail. The property’s freeway access links tenants to more than 450,000 jobs across the region, according to Berkadia.

The deal marks another step in GID’s quiet but steady push into the San Diego multifamily market. That earlier buy highlighted GID’s taste for trophy suburban and urban apartment assets across the region…
