SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — All southbound lanes of Interstate 805 between Interstate 5 and Governor Drive in San Diego have reopened following a weekend closure.

Caltrans announced the reopening just before 11 p.m. Saturday night, which is earlier than originally anticipated. Officials thanked drivers for their patience while crews completed a road work project.
The closure began Friday at 9 p.m., impacting all southbound lanes along the busy corridor near Sorento Valley and University City.
