Suspicious package prompts temporary evacuation at San Diego Int’l Airport gate

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Passengers were temporarily evacuated from a gate at the San Diego Airport Monday morning as police officers and a Strike Team investigated a suspicious package.

San Diego Harbor Police and the Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) investigated and evaluated a suspicious package that was found during a security screening at the San Diego Airport around 10 a.m. Monday, an airport spokesperson confirmed.
