Man flashes gun at student near City Heights school, prompting brief lockdown, police say

A suspicious incident near a middle school in the City Heights area of San Diego prompted a brief lockdown Tuesday morning.

San Diego police said the incident happened around 7:40 a.m. near Wilson Middle School on El Cajon Boulevard near Interstate 15. A man in a red Tesla called a student over and flashed a black gun, according to SDPD Officer Sarah Foster.

The student ran to school and the suspect fled, Foster said. The suspect was later arrested and the lockdown was lifted. No details about the suspect were released…
