SAN DIEGO — Encanto resident, Kenny Key, has lived next to “Radio Towers Hill” off Old Memory Lane since the early 1970s. The lot has been empty, except for the radio towers, for as long as he has lived there. Key told News 8 that for decades, the property was zoned for a park.
Those plans changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when, Key said, the residents were notified that a developer was looking to build on the property.
“We were just blown away. Shocked. Said, ‘that can’t be.’ ‘No way can that be.’ So, some of our people in the Chollas Valley Community Planning Group did their due-diligence and uncovered Footnote 7,” Key said…
