Jury selection begins Monday in Larry Millete’s murder trial after years of delays

SAN DIEGO — Jury selection is set to begin Monday in the murder case against Larry Millete, the Chula Vista man accused of killing his wife, Maya Millete, who disappeared more than five years ago and whose body has never been found.

Larry Millete was charged with Maya’s murder in 2021 and has pleaded not guilty. He’s been in custody since his arrest. After years of delays and pre-trial hearings, the case is now moving closer to trial.
