ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif. (KRON) — Five vehicles belonging to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office were stolen out of a garage in Oakland.
Sunday just after 7:15 a.m., ACSO officers learned that the Alameda County Parking Garage on 13th Street had been burglarized. Five vehicles were stolen. ACSO personnel were able to recover four of them.
The vehicle that still remains at large is a 2025 blue Ford Explorer with California exempt license plate 1685265. It is equipped with a black front push-bar bumper, overhead emergency lighting, radio equipment, and sirens. It is not marked with Alameda County Sheriff’s Office insignia or emblems.
The investigation is ongoing. ACSO warns members of the public should exercise caution if approached by individuals claiming to be law enforcement in a vehicle matching the description. If anyone has concerns about the legitimacy of law enforcement contact should call 9-1-1 or their local law enforcement agency to verify the officer’s identity and the vehicle involved.
