Two companies that deliver Amazon packages plan to close Bay Area operations in September, eliminating a combined 176 jobs, according to notices filed with California officials this month.
OnPoint Logistics LLC will close its operation at 749 Toland St. in San Francisco on Sept. 7, cutting 92 delivery drivers and four operations management employees.
Two days later, Xpress Delivery LLC will stop operating at 5800 Coliseum Way in Oakland, eliminating 75 delivery associates and five operations managers.
