(KRON) — Authorities said a person suspected of arson was taken into custody Tuesday for a fire at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline. No injuries were reported, and no nearby buildings were threatened.
East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) Police Department said officers and fire personnel responded to the report of a person actively setting a fire and quickly located a suspect.
EBRPD confirmed an air support unit assisted fire crews in containing the fire to approximately 1.5 acres.
The suspect was not identified by authorities. It is not yet known what potential charges they face…
