SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A five-time convicted drug trafficker was arrested in San Francisco amid an investigation that uncovered more than 8 kilograms of narcotics, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
Sixty-year-old Darrell Hargrove, along with two women who authorities said “were found to be complicit in the drug sales,” were taken into custody for possession of narcotics for sale following the execution of multiple search warrants on Thursday, Aug. 27. Authorities identified the women as Iisha Washington and Shantoya Cruz.
Hargrove was the target of an investigation by the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force after being previously arrested in February in Stanislaus County, the sheriff’s office said. “Detectives believed Hargrove trafficked large quantities of narcotics throughout the greater Bay Area and identified several locations associated to him in Hayward, Oakland, San Francisco, Stockton and Vallejo,” authorities wrote.
During the search warrants, detectives seized:
- 5,450 grams of heroin
- 2,033 grams of cocaine hydrochloride
- 1,076 grams of cocaine base
- 4,382 grams of processed marijuana
- 32 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 200 suspected counterfeit oxycodone pills
- Two handguns
- $15,393 in cash
All three suspects were booked into the San Francisco County Jail. None of the suspects were listed in custody as of Monday morning…
