SF: Major Alcohol Distributor To Pay $12.5 Million Under Non-Prosecution Agreement

The nation’s largest distributor of wine and spirits will pay $12.5 million to the U.S. Treasury to escape criminal bribery charges under an agreement with federal prosecutors in San Francisco.

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits LLC made improper payments and provided gifts, travel and other benefits to employees of retail customers, according to the non-prosecution agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California dated Thursday.
