The 10th annual Richmond District Autumn Moon Festival filled four blocks on San Francisco’s west side with food, performances and crowds Saturday.
More than 100 vendors and organizations took over the stretch of Clement Street between Eighth and 11th avenues for the annual harvest celebration. Activities included a petting zoo with a rabbit and donkey; three hours of performances, including kung fu by Shaolin Temple USA, folk and lion dances; and food ranging from mooncakes to Sichuan barbecue to Cajun po boys.
The event highlighted local small businesses and institutions and took place a week before the larger two-day Autumn Moon Festival in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It was organized by the Clement Street Merchants Association…
