(KRON) — A San Francisco jury has convicted a 37-year-old man of driving under the influence after prosecutors say he crashed on the Bay Bridge near the Yerba Buena Tunnel.
Chi Chung Stephen Cho was convicted of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08% or higher, according to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Cho crashed into the side of the Yerba Buena Tunnel on westbound Interstate 80 just before 5 a.m. on Oct.5, 2025. California Highway Patrol officers responded and later arrested Cho after noticing signs of intoxication.
A breath test taken shortly after the crash measured Cho’s blood alcohol concentration at 0.133%, prosecutors said. A later analysis estimated his BAC at the time he was driving was between 0.144% and 0.160%, about twice the legal limit…
